Dear NCI Cancer Bulletin Subscriber, The editors, writers, and technical staff of the NCI Cancer Bulletin would like to wish each of you a safe and joyous holiday season and a happy and healthy new year. Next month, we will begin our eighth year of publication. Since launching in 2004, we have published nearly 250 issues and well over 3,500 cancer research news stories, all of which can be accessed through our archive/search page. Last year in particular brought a host of important news and feature stories. Many of these are included in our "2010 Editors' Picks" list. We chose these stories not only for their potential impact on clinical practice, but also for their value as important but underreported topics. Finally, here is a sneak peek at our 2010 reader satisfaction survey results, which will also be posted in our first issue of 2011. Thanks to all who participated and sent in suggestions and comments. The overall results mirror our 2007 survey and, while there are obvious limitations with any voluntary survey, we believe the data and suggestions will help inform our future plans for the newsletter as we strive to meet reader needs and expectations. Thank you again for your interest and support in 2010. We hope you'll continue to read each issue and encourage others to subscribe. Best regards, The NCI Cancer Bulletin Team |
Seasons Greetings
